Jeannie Mai, will join 'Extra' for the show's 16th Season as a correspondent and a weekend co-host. Jeannie is one of today's up-and-coming television hosts. Mai is currently the new host of "How Do I Look?" on Style Network, which is one of the most popular makeover shows on cable, and the Style Network joint venture with The Today Show "Tips Today." She can also be seen as the host of the USA Network makeover interstitial series "Character Fantasy" and as part of the glam squad on TLC's "10 Years Younger."

Jeannie's career started with humble beginnings in her hometown of San Jose, CA where she was make-up artist teaching women "how to color their spirit." She soon caught the eye of MAC Cosmetics and was recruited as MAC Trainer and Artist to the stars. She traveled around the world to dress the face of celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Kelly Ripa and Alicia Keys. During this time she discovered her passion to bring smiles from behind the scenes to the front of the camera.

By representing herself to local television networks and auditioning with self-written scripts to demonstrate her unique hosting talents, in 2004 she snagged a position as the spunky, fashionable host to an Asian American magazine-style show, STIR, broadcasting on International Channel Networks worldwide, which also picked up its first Emmy Nomination for 2005. Soon after, the San Francisco local music channel, CMC, invited her as their first female VJ to host her own music countdown. Eager to learn the wraps on writing, she took on the role of entertainment reporter and producer on the WB's "Daily Mixx", before moving to LA after being cast as co-host to Frankie Muniz in the MTV pilot, "Granted".

In 2008 her career began to take off. She took part in TV history's first ever attempt to revamp Miss America's 52 hopefuls on TLC's "Miss America Reality Check" and starred in her very own Style Special "Dude, Where's Your Style?" She also toured the world as the official spokesperson of Never Accept Ordinary, a line of cosmetics that promotes individuality through color.

Mai continued her mission to celebrate style in 2009 by hosting a variety of shows including; TLC's "10 Years Younger," Style Network's "How Do I Look?" "Lucky Shops" and "Go Fix Yourself" and continuing the fourth season USA Network's "Character Fantasy." In additional she hosted the online entertainment news show "Le Dish."

Jeannie currently lives in Los Angeles.
